In the last four months, our little
puppy Rika (Frederike) has turned into a bizarre but cute creature
on funny long legs with enormous floppy ears and a flagellum-like
organ instead of a tail. Rika is fast and temperamental yet
steady and loyal, creatively naughty yet ready to please, spirited
and playful yet and mindful and gentle, actively cuddly while being
an agile fighter.
She spends her childhood playing with
us, Ellie (our other lab) and numerous other doggy friends, sniffing
around in the forest, stealing our socks and learning tricks.
But when it comes to dummies (or dead birds, rabbits and parts of
other animals), she changes into an automatic fetch-machine.
